Donate Materials

The Library accepts gifts of gently-used books, magazines, videos or sound recordings.  The Library reserves the right to place or use the materials in accordance with the Library's Materials Selection Policy.  If not used for our collection, your gift will be added to the Friends of the Library book sale.  Proceeds from the sale are used to buy materials and equipment for the Library.

Make a Monetary Contribution

A gift to the Library is a thoughtful way to remember or honor a special person or occasion, or to help build and expand the Library's collection for the public.  We appreciate your generosity.  Your name or organization name will be added to an annual donor list, which is available each year.  A note acknowledging the gift will also be sent to the honoree or the family for which a memorial is made.  You can specify the subject area (children's, adult fiction, business, history, etc.) or if it is to be used at the Library's discretion.  You may bring or mail your check (made payable to City of Oak Ridge) to the Library along with the pertinent information.

Endowment Fund Donations

The Endowment Fund is a project of the Oak Ridge Public Library.  This is a non-expendable trust fund and only the revenue or earnings from the principle will be used for improving facilities, services and equipment in the Library.
