July
brings an exciting collection of photographs by Bob Stephenson, a
retired metallurgist who has sustained an intense interest in
photography for over 60 years.
He
has won awards in camera club salons in Oak Ridge and at the
Tennessee Valley A&I Fair in Knoxville.
In addition, his work has been accepted for shows in
Chattanooga and Johnson City.
Mr.
Stephenson has taught photography courses locally and has written
several articles published in Videomaker magazine.
In retirement, he is devoting a major effort to art
photography, specializing in scenics and wildflowers.
His photos of herons and a red-headed woodpecker
demonstrate his skill in capturing wildlife on film.
Please
visit the Oak Ridge Public Library during the month of July to
view the wonderful collection of artwork that is on display.
