A Garden of Memories on File

Come construct a small, ingenious accordion album made with products from Close To My Heart. This workshop offers a charming accordion album which features five sentiment pockets perfect for journaling your memories. The album project is constructed using a True Fit folio, the My Reflections Paper Garden scrapbooking kit, antiqued copper brads, and Blush polka dot grosgrain ribbon. With a mix of stamping, scrapbooking, and paper crafting, this class is perfect for preserving memories from the garden of your life.

Adorable & Precious Memories - 12 x 12 Scrapbook Workshop

Go Green! With a little help from nature!
(Saturday, September 27th 2:00PM - 3:30PM)

This is a 12 x 12 Four Page Layout using Eco-Africa Handmade Plant Paper for Scrapbooking. This handmade plant fiber paper is produced by the women in the communities and villages of the African republic of Zimbabwe and empowers these women to be financially independent for themselves and their families. Embellishments are also handmade from plant fibers. Wire embellishments are made from recycled metals such as paper clips. A faux porcupine quill has been created by scorchng reeds thereby saving the lives of porcupines that are killed for their quills. These are the perfect "papers" to use for those great outdoor pictures - camping, hiking etc. or visits to the zoo, wildlife preserve or enjoying nature in your own backyard. Colors and embellishments will vary, but the layouts will be the same. Try something different and go Green!

Pocket and Tags Album
(Saturday, September 27th 4:30PM - 6:00PM)

In this class we will be constructing a 5 1/2" x 8" book of pockets that contain embellished tags. We will use beautiful co-ordinating papers and fibers, and each one will be unique. It will make a great brag book, mini scrapbook, or a gift of pictures for someone special. The book goes together easily from pre-cut papers, coverboards, tags, and fibers. You will learn how to cover the boards, fold the spine, and attach the pockets. There will be room inside for as many as 32 3 X 3 photos. The cover will be embellished with your photos and laminated to protect it. You will also receive a list of materials, templates, complete instructions, and an idea sheet of themes and uses for your beautiful book!

Portfolio Album

In this class we will be constructing a very unusual 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" album with two portfolios inside, each containing a single signature book. On the front cover is a transparent pocket containing a mini book. Here is your chance to learn some simple bookmaking techniques by creating a multifaceted album that can be used as a memory book, for journaling, or as a greeting card. No experience is required. This beautiful book assembles easily from pre-cut papers and boards. You will learn how to construct the spine and cover boards, fold and assemble the portfolios, and bind and assemble the journals. You will also receive a list of materials, templates, and complete instructions.

Simply Scrappin'

A Simply Scrappin' kit makes it easy to create vibrant and elegant coordinating pages. Each participant will receive half of a Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' kit. We will use this kit along with my accessories to create an extraordinary 2 page layout along with a bonus of 2 greeting cards. There will be plenty of cardstock and self-adhesive die cut extras in the kit for you to keep! The picture shown is not our exact project. The theme, colors and layout will be different.

Wax Collage Memory Page
(Friday, September 26th 6:30PM - 8:00PM & Saturday, September 27th 9:00AM - 10:30AM)

Beeswax collage is a technique that makes your ordinary scrapbook page into a framed work of art with a gorgeous antique look. And it's a lot easier than it looks! In this class you will learn the basics of layering images onto canvas board using only beeswax as an adhesive. You will also get some tips on basic collage design and composition. You will compose and construct a 5 x 7" canvas using our photos or yours, and our extensive collection of collage items. No experience or artistic talent is required. We will provide the wax and tools, including the canvas, as well as written instructions.

Supplies to Bring: Scissors, craft knife, cutting mat, trimmer, color laser-copied photo(s) no larger than 2 1/2" x 3 1/2", and various collage items you wish to incorporate into your composition.
