FY09 CDBG PROGRAM INFORMATION

 

Highland View Neighborhood – Housing Rehabilitation

  

bulletAid for Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties, Inc. (ADFAC) Highland View (HV) Yard Enhancement project, in the amount of $11,500 to be utilized for residents that require assistance with code issues such as removal of debris from yards, painting and general cleanup.

 

bulletADFAC HV Home Rehabilitation project in the amount of $15,000 to provide minor and/or major repairs to correct code violations within the home and property, to residences in the Highland View Redevelopment Area occupied by very low and low-income homeowners.

 

Citywide - Housing Rehabilitation

 

bulletADFAC Yard Enhancement project, in the amount of $11,000 to be utilized for residents that require assistance with code issues such as removal of debris from yards, painting and general cleanup.

 

bulletADFAC Home Rehabilitation project in the amount of $15,000 to provide minor and/or major repairs to correct code violations within the home and property, to residences occupied by low-income homeowners.

 

bulletADFAC Repair Fair 2008 project in the amount of $15,000 to provide for minor repairs and cosmetic improvements to residences occupied by very low and low-income homeowners within the city limits.

 

Citywide - Homeownership

 

bulletADFAC Down Payment Assistance project in the amount of $10,000 to provide funds for low to moderate-income residents within the city limits with down payment assistance not to exceed $2,500 per homeowner, when purchasing their home.

ADFAC Housing Counseling project in the amount of $2,000 to provide funds for homeownership counseling services for ADFAC clients that receive CDBG funds for Down Payment Assistance.

Transitional Housing

 

bulletRidgeview Psychiatric Hospital and Center, Inc. (Ridgeview) Oak Ridge Transitional Housing Program in the amount of $27,000 to provide housing units and a housing coordinator for homeless, mentally ill and/or dually diagnosed Oak Ridge citizens.

  

City Programs

  

bulletDebt Service in the amount of $95,000 for the Scarboro Community Center Expansion Project.  This represents the seventh of fifteen installments for the City’s debt repayment.

 

bulletCode Enforcement Services in the amount of $62,911 to provide funds for services by the City relating to the enforcement of municipal codes in CDBG eligible areas and programs.

 

bulletProgram Grant Administration in the amount of $18,000 to be used for general program administration, project implementation, management of subrecipient agreements and all reporting requirements.
