This notice is to advise affected or interested persons of
traffic control and street light changes on the State Route 95 (Oak Ridge
Turnpike) roadway construction project.
Effective May 20, 2008, the posted speed limit will be changed to 35 mph
from the beginning of the project near Westover Drive to State Route 62
(Illinois Avenue), an approximate distance of 4.2 miles. This speed limit change will be in effect
until the project is completed in July 2010.
The street lights along the entire length of the project will also be
disconnected during this time to allow for construction. Motorists are encouraged to exercise
caution while traveling within the construction zone.
